I’m thrilled to share that Post & Courier recently published a feature introducing Dear Everyone, my debut book — a project born of discovery, letters, and the questions that follow us across years.
In the book, we follow Martha McCaffray, who at age 22 traveled to Florence in 1963, wrote sixty vivid letters home full of art, friendship, and longing — then faced the choice to give up painting when she returned. Sixty years later, I discovered her letters and found in them a mirror for my own life: grief, ambition, motherhood, and what it means to choose yourself even when the weight of expectation pulls the other way.
This feature in Post & Courier captures that journey — what inspired me, how the letters came to light, and why I felt compelled to tell Martha’s story alongside mine.
