About

A writer by craft and creative by nature, Henley is an emerging author with a passion for storytelling and meaningful conversations. Growing up in a troubled family dynamic and later facing the tragedy of pregnancy loss, Henley was thrust into a journey of self-discovery and healing. Struggling with the internal conflict of pursuing a successful career while embracing motherhood, she found herself questioning the societal pressure to ‘have it all.’ Instead of choosing between her career and motherhood, Henley sought to carve out a path of freedom and balance, where she could define success on her own terms.

Her experience spans speechwriting for public figures Scotty and Tiffany Smiley, broadcast, video and film, documentaries, social media, journalism, website design, political campaigns, advertising, brand development, and more. Motivated by impactful words and relationships, Henley believes in the power of storytelling and authentic dialogue to inspire real change.

For the past two years, Henley has been writing her debut narrative nonfiction, Dear Everyone. This book intertwines 60 discovered letters from 1963, chronicling a year of artistic pursuit and personal growth in Florence, Italy, with Henley’s modern-day narrative of grief, ambition, and the quest for authenticity. It explores the profound struggles of balancing career, relationships, and motherhood, revealing the beauty and heartache of staying true to oneself. Inspired by letters that changed her life, Henley’s journey in the book reflects her own challenges in navigating personal and professional ambitions.

Henley has been using the power of social media to discuss topics of womanhood, rejecting societal pressures, balancing personal and professional aspirations, and leaning into femininity in its truest form. It’s a platform where Henley explores what women truly want through open dialogue, rather than what society tells them they should have.

In her free time, Henley dreams of escapes to Palm Springs, enjoys Slim Aaron’s coffee table books, and spends time with her husband and their golden retriever, Millie.
